Insurance for overseas landlords

We understand that protecting your property and furnishings from accidental damage is very important, so we've partnered with insurance experts to offer affordable solutions tailored for overseas landlords.

What policies do we offer?

We provide both contents and building insurance.

What is landlord insurance?

Landlord insurance offers financial protection for landlords renting out their property. Unlike Home Insurance, it covers the additional risks involved in letting a property.

What are the costs of such policies?

The cost depends on the level of coverage you choose.

What types of cover is available?

  • Contents only insurance
  • Buildings and contents insurance
  • Buildings only insurance
  • Landlord liability insurance
  • Landlord emergency assistance insurance
  • Portfolio insurance (for landlords with multiple properties)

Contents insurance

This protects items you provide for your tenants. There are two levels:

i. Limited Contents insurance: Covers up to £5,000 for essential items.

ii. Full Contents insurance: Offers more extensive coverage from £10,000, including Emergency Assistance.

Both levels include Employer's Liability, Legal Liability, and coverage for Loss of Rent or alternative accommodation if tenants need to move out after an insured event.

Buildings Insurance

This covers damage from events like fire, storms, floods, or other disasters. Emergency Assistance is included as standard.

Landlord liability insurance

Accidents can happen, and this insurance covers claims from tenants, visitors, or contractors. Our policy includes:

  • Legal liability as an owner up to £5 million
  • Occupier’s legal liability and worldwide personal liability up to £5 million
  • Public liability up to £5 million
  • Employers’ liability up to £10 million

Landlord emergency assistance insurance

Included in Buildings or Full Contents policies but also available as a standalone option. This provides 24/7 emergency help with coverage up to £1,500 per year and up to £500 per claim.

Portfolio insurance for multiple properties

For landlords with more than one property, this package simplifies management with a single policy that can be adjusted as your portfolio changes. Benefits include:

  • One policy and renewal date
  • Coverage for loss of rent due to damage (up to 30% of the sum insured)
  • No restrictions for unoccupied properties (up to 90 days)
  • £5m property owner's liability and £10m employer's liability
  • Rebuild cover for loss or damage from fire, flood, theft, and more
